Are you tired of looking for a spelling workbook online and not being satisfied with the options?
Are you stumbling through spelling with your child because there isn’t a good resource out there?
I designed this spelling workbook because I didn’t find a good resource for my children to practice their spelling. Most of the resources I found were just spelling lists with no support, structure or context to practice their spelling.
So, I created this workbook for Muslim homeschooling families just like yours.
UK National Curriculum Aligned Spelling Workbook
It’s aligned to the UK national curriculum so you can be sure your child isn’t missing out on the words that school kids are expected to know.
British spellings are used in this workbook, so it’s suitable for homeschoolers in any country who want to teach their child British spellings.
I went one step further and incorporated the five pillars of Islam into it. So your child can be educated about Islam as they work on their spelling.
Now your child can practice their spelling and learn about the five pillars of Islam at the same time.
This spelling workbook:
- Teaches your child the five pillars of Islam.
- Includes full referencing for all Islamic content.
- Uses authentic sources from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
- Aligned to the UK national curriculum spelling list for Year 1.
- Different designs for boys and girls.
- Also comes in a black & white version that’s optimised for saving on printer ink.
What’s Included?
One PDF file of the boys version.
One PDF file of the girls version.
One PDF file of the black & white version.
Once purchased, you’ll receive all 3 PDF files. So you can print off as many copies as you like for all your children.
Each PDF contains 21 pages of spelling practice, tests and the five pillars of Islam.
It also includes some colouring pages.
The answers are included at the back.
Please note: This is a digital PDF file. No physical workbook will be sent to you.

This is a great little workbook for my 5 year old. She loved the colourful easy layout and really enjoyed working through the five pillers. Usually she doesn’t enjoy doing spellings at all but once we started with this booklet, she just kept asking to do more and more. I was pleasantly surprised.
The only thing I thought that was tricky for a 5 year old was the way the letter “a” is written in the booklet. My daughter is just getting comfortable with writing and trying to copy a different type of “a” was a challenge for her. She managed it well though.
Overall a great booklet 😊.
I was looking for a spelling book for my daughter and this ticked all the boxes! It has a simple and clear layout but still fun and engaging for little ones. My daughter who hates writing now looks forward to doing her spellings each morning. And treats the colouring pages as a little reward to herself. I love how Islam is integrated in to the book too. Overall a wonderful book and would definitely recommend.
The Spelling Workbook for kids Aged 5-6 by is a well-structured resource combining spelling practice with Islamic teachings. Aligned with the UK National Curriculum, it offers 21 pages of word lists, tests, and coloring activities. The workbook integrates lessons on the Five Pillars of Islam, making it both educational and faith-based. It's ideal for parents and educators looking for an engaging way to teach spelling while reinforcing Islamic values.
