The English translations of the surah names used for these cards are from “The English Translation of the Qur’an” by Taqi-ud-din Al Hilali and Muhsin Khan.
How To Use These Surah Cards
Print these surah cards on paper and then cut them all out. For even better results print them on card, if your printer allows. Then cut them all out. You can even laminate them if you like. (All cutting should be carried out or supervised by an adult.)
Here are some different ways to play with these cards.
- Arrange them in order from the first surah to the last. Take turns with siblings to put the next surah in a row.
- Time each child putting them all in order and see who can do it the quickest.
- Match the surah names in Arabic to their English meanings. By putting them side by side.
- Call out the Arabic surah name and your child has to hold up the correct matching English card.
- There are many more ways to play with these, whichever game you and your family choose will help your child learn more about the surah names insha’Allah.
